Account deletion

Make a clear exit.

You can request permanent account deletion from inside Afterword. Review the effects before confirming.

  1. Open Settings and choose Delete account.
  2. Review the named clubs you host and the data that will be removed.
  3. Enter your current password directly in the app and type DELETE.
  4. Choose Permanently delete my account. Keep my account cancels without deleting.

What is removed

Your identity, active sessions, authored discussions/replies/messages, memberships, private progress, preferences, saves, reactions and personal block/report links are removed. Replies by other readers to your deleted discussions are removed too.

If you host a club

Your hosted clubs and everyone’s reading and conversation history in them are deleted. To preserve a club, transfer ownership to another reader from Club → Your circle → Manage my membership before deleting your account.

What is separate

Leaving a club only ends membership and access; it does not delete your account or authored history. Other readers’ clubs survive account deletion. Copies other people have shared cannot be erased. The preview’s production backup/log expiry and restoration controls are still being finalized.

If you cannot open the app

Contact the operator for help with an account-deletion request. We need to verify ownership; do not include a password, recovery code or private conversation.
